Deleting your account and data
You can delete a single companion from inside the app, or have your entire Presence account and everything associated with it permanently erased. Both are described below.
Deleting one companion
In the chat list, select the companion you want to remove and delete it. This permanently removes that companion, its entire conversation history and the images generated in that conversation. Your account and any other companions are unaffected.
Deleting your whole account
You can do this yourself, from inside the app, without contacting us:
- Open Profile (bottom right)
- Tap Account
- Scroll to Delete Account
- Type your name to confirm, then tap Delete forever
Deletion happens immediately. Your account, companions, conversations and generated images are removed as soon as you confirm — there is no waiting period and no review step. You are signed out straight away.
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account and cannot reach the in-app option, email privacy@presenceai.co.in with the subject Delete my Presence account.
Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Presence — that is how we confirm the request is yours. We do not need any other identifying information, and we will never ask you for a password. We will confirm when the deletion is complete, and action requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and the email address associated with it
- Your display name, your persona and preferences, and your profile picture if you uploaded one
- Every AI companion you created, including its configuration and generated life
- Your full conversation history with every companion
- All images generated for you — avatars, in-chat photos and Story posts
- Your message allowance counters and ad-reward records
- The push notification token for your device
What may be kept, and for how long
After deletion we may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce our Terms of Service — for example, records relating to a serious abuse report. Routine server logs containing technical data such as IP addresses are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics and then expire on their own.
Backups are not erased instantly. Any copy of your data held in a backup is removed as that backup rotates out.
Other requests
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or export your personal information rather than delete it. Email the same address and say what you’d like — see our privacy policy for the full picture.
